MODEE Ch. 1 (Updated)

Duke Pertan III had three sons and one daughter. Among them was Johann Eldorado Pertan, the fifth nephew of Hentart III, current Emperor of the Priston Empire. He was part of the royal family from the day he was born.

Unlike some of the royal family, whose blood only made them worthwhile, Johann was one imbued with the best talents. Whether it was the sword, magic, or academics, he excelled in all of them. All the teachers who taught him praised that the future of the Pertan Dukedom was bright.

It was in the Academy where Johann’s excellence came to light. Minuet Academy, from the ages thirteen to sixteen, where all the most talented people in the empire were enrolled, Johann made a name for himself by taking lead for all four years.

The praise for him did not stop there. Johann Pertan was a man blessed by God.

With shiny blonde hair that looked as if it was sprinkled with gold dust, and breathtaking eyes that seemed to be filled with the sky, Johann was a good-looking man who could fascinate anyone with a single smile.

Armed with a rich background, extraordinary appearance , and imbued with magnificent talents, Johann’s future was exceptionally bright.

“Oh my god, did you hear what she said? How can she be so dry? Johann congratulated her but she didn’t seem to be grateful.”

“Johann is so nice.”

Until he met that woman, Johann had never been treated like that before. Johann schooled his expression and quietly clenched his teeth, hearing the conversation around him.

‘Elena Evoy.’

It was the name of the woman who shattered Johann’s dream that he will take lead all the way from entrance to graduation. Which he had done at Muenyu Academy.

‘Where did you come from?’

Of course, it wasn’t like he hadn’t thought that there would never be any unforeseen challenges. Unlike Muenyu Academy where only imperialist can enroll, Minuet Academy, which is a higher institution, accepted students from all over the continent. As the conditions were expanded, it was a matter of knowing that more diverse people would come to the academy without having to think deeply.

Johann wasn’t concerned in regards to this. Children admitted to the Academy, that is, the imperial family or royal family , the sons of a noble family, or the children of wealthy merchants, would know by themselves if they were being deceived. It would be laughable to say that they have no talent.

Moreover, Johann was the best student Muenyu Academy ever had. Johann never thought about his limits. At least so far.

‘Evoy… Its the first time I’ve heard of this family.’

With his excellent memory, he remembers every single family he encountered socially, but name Evoy is unfamiliar. Johann looked at Elena Evoy, pretending to gaze at the window.
